Scarce 1940s Alvar Aalto designed dining table with one leaf. It is signed / stamped on the bottom, made in Sweden. The birch is in good shape - the top has some very slight wear - as seen in the last two photos, a very faint reddish mark on the top as seen next to a quarter. Not very noticeable. The top also has a natural "knot", as seen in the 3rd to the last photo (not damage). The legs have a small amount of wear from where dining chairs rubbed up against them. A terrific and early piece! Measures 50.5" round (without leaf) 28" tall. $4200.
